01 — Loan types

All four, in detail

Four kinds of lending, one adviser.

Most advisers do home loans or commercial finance. Doing both means the mortgage and the machinery get looked at in the same conversation, which is usually where the useful answers are.

02 — Why Credible

Plain answers, including no

Three things we hold ourselves to.

Whoever answers your first email keeps your file. You won’t be passed to a processing team once the application goes in, and you won’t have to explain your situation a second time to someone new.

  1. We say what we think

Including when the answer is that now isn’t the right time.

  2. We explain the structure, not just the rate

The fees, the balloon payment, and what it costs to break or repay early.

  3. We do the chasing

Following up the lender and the supplier is our job, not yours.

How we work

03 — How it works

No credit check to find out where you stand

Four steps to making your goals possible.

The first conversation is about what you want and by when, not an application form. If the numbers don’t work yet, you’ll hear that early.

  1. You tell us what you’re after

Send a short email or ring us. The first conversation is about what you want and by when.

  2. We check where you stand

Income, deposit or equity, and your deadline. No credit check to find out.

  3. We approach lenders that fit

You see the options side by side with the total cost, not just the headline rate.

  4. You decide, we do the paperwork

Application, conditions, settlement and drawdown. Chasing documents is our job.

04 — About Credible

Meet the team

A finance adviser that handles the house and the hardware.

The useful question is rarely “what’s the rate”. It’s “what does this cost me over the whole term, and what happens if something changes”.

Credsol Financial Services Limited, trading as Credible Finance & Mortgages, is based in Greenlane, Auckland, and works with clients across Auckland, the Waikato and the Bay of Plenty.

We’re not a lender. We work with a panel of banks and non-bank lenders, and our job is to know which of them will say yes to your situation, on what terms, and how long it will take.

  1. Syed Ahsan Ahmad Financial Adviser · Chartered Accountant
  2. Pradyumna Mahajan Business and Financial Consultant

What we don’t do. We don’t sell insurance, manage investments or give KiwiSaver advice. If you need those, we’ll say so rather than stretching to cover it.

06 — Common questions

Before you get in touch.

A couple of lines is enough to start. We’ll come back with what’s realistic, what it’s likely to cost and what we’d need from you — usually within one working day.

What does it cost to talk to Credible?

The first conversation is free and there’s no obligation. How we are paid — including any commission from a lender or fee payable by you — is set out in our disclosure information, and we’ll go through it with you before you commit to anything.

What will I need to provide?

Nothing, to have a first conversation. Once you’re ready to apply, a lender will usually want photo identification, proof of income, at least three consecutive months of statements from the account your income is paid into, and the sale and purchase agreement or the supplier’s quote for the asset.

How long does approval take?

It depends on the lender and on how complete the application is when it goes in. Vehicle and equipment finance is usually faster than home lending. We’ll give you a realistic timeframe once we know which lender fits — we would rather tell you three weeks than promise three days.

Do you only deal with the big banks?

No. We work with a panel of bank and non-bank lenders. Which one suits depends on the deal: the same application can be an easy yes at one lender and a decline at another.

My bank said no. Is it worth talking to you?

Often, yes. A decline usually comes down to one thing — servicing, deposit, credit history, or simply how the application was put together. Tell us what happened and we’ll give you an honest read on whether another approach is worth making, and when.

Tell us what you’re trying to do.

Send a short email and we’ll come back with what’s realistic, what it’s likely to cost, and what we’d need from you. No obligation, and no application form to fill in first.
